Double Chin Defined

Fullness under the chin to a ‘double chin’ is a common concern for both men and women. It can be caused by:

How do fat dissolving injection works?

The active ingredient in the fat dissolving injection is purified synthesised Deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid also occurs naturally in the body where it helps to break down dietary fat.
One of our clinicians will administer a series of injections into the area under your chin at each session. When injected below the chin, the product reduces fat, resulting in a more contoured neck profile and jawline. As it is a prescription-only medicine, the fat dissolving treatment is only available from trained clinicians.

How many treatments will I need?

Many people treated with fat dissolving injections experienced visible improvement in the appearance of their chin profile in 2-4 treatments.
Some people require up to 6 treatments in order to achieve their best results and to be spaced at least 6 weeks apart. Once your desired results are achieved, additional treatments may not be needed as results are maintained for at least 4 years required.

What can I expect during treatment?

Prior to administering the fat dissolving injections, our clinicians may apply ice/cold packs or topical and/or injectable local anesthesia (e.g. Lidocaine) to the treatment area to make you more comfortable. They may also suggest you take an over-the-counter pain relief medication such as Paracetamol prior to your appointment.
